Illustration
As a freelance art director at WIRED, I produced editorial illustrations for web articles on topics of tech, science, business, and politics. Web and social illustrations ranged from light-hearted culture stories to serious breaking news. These illustrations were often completed within the day that they were assigned, in keeping with the publisher’s fast-paced schedule.

As a freelance art director at WIRED, I also commissioned illustrations for feature stories. I researched illustrators and pitched talent to the creative team, and guided the selected artist through their editorial assignment. This included writing creative briefs, reviewing sketches and drafts, and managing delivery and publishing timelines.
